Description
|
|
Color. Green; head with a pair of postocular white stripes.
|
Male. Mesonotum granulate. Abdominal tergites II-VII obtusely carinate,
X medially emarginate apically. Tegmina with the anterior margin white; costal margin of the
wing brown, then white, the posterior area white.
Female. Vertex of the head with a few scattered small tubercles. Pronotum
with three linearly arranged median pairs of tubercles. Abdominal tergites II-VIII obtusely
tricarinate.

Geographic distribution. Western Cuba.

Type material. Holotype: Male. Cuba. 12½ k. S of Pinar Rio.
Sept. 12-23, ’13. [ AMNH ].
|
Systematic notes. The holotype male, noted above, is in extremely poor
condition: the anterior tarsomeres and left antenna are missing, and the abdominal sternites have
been eaten by dermestids, with the result that the genitalia and subgenital plate have been destroyed.
I have examined five males and three females.
